Venus in Fur

Theatre enthusiasts are in for a treat as the ‘The X Collective’ proudly presents ‘Venus in Fur’, an electrifying play by David Ives.

Directed by Wayne McPhee, the production is sure to captivate and mesmerise spectators with its scintillating storyline, powerful performances, and sultry themes.

Enigmatic actress Vanda Jordan appears unannounced for an audition with director Thomas Novachek. She’s determined to land the leading role in his new production – despite being seemingly wrong for the part.

As the audition progresses over an evening in downtown Manhattan, the lines blur and the tension builds, both on and offstage culminating in a seductive dance to the end.

‘Venus in Fur’ is a mesmerising exploration of power, desire and seduction, played out in real-time through an unforgettable display of lightning-fast dialogue, venomous wit and shrewd commentary on the gender power dynamic.

If you're looking for an evening of arresting theatre, with intriguing characters, flawless acting, and compelling themes, ‘Venus in Fur’ is a play you cannot afford to miss. Get your tickets today and experience the sizzling magic of live theatre.
